Stamp n Doodle Thursday!

Hello! Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here! While we are waiting on that, here is my latest card creation made with the image of the week from Stamp-n-doodle.

I am not sure that I did the image justice, it is so detailed and pretty. I worked so hard at the grass, and still am not happy with the color that I ended up with. Please visit the SND blog tomorrow to see the image as it comes to you; before ugly grass is added by DT member. LOL

Anyways, the image seemed old fashioned to me, so I decided to go a little vintage with it. The card base is SU Kraft, or should I say Crumb Cake?! The tag was made with the spellbinder's Ribbon Tag Trio di cuts, and vanilla card stock. The patterned paper is Basic Gray, the ribbon is American Crafts, the brads are Stampin Up, and the sentiment is a stamp from the SU stamp set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. Oh, and of course the flowers are Prima brand; what else? I love those cute goats in the foreground of the image. once again, don't forget to stop over to the SND blog and store tomorrow to see the image plain, and to see if they offer it for free.!

Stop back here later today to see some new stuff from Soft Pencil Designs.

Until then.....................Blessings, Lisa

ChiChi Memories Halloween Images!

Hello, Happy Wednesday to everyone! I hope everyone is having a good week. I am having a very busy week of card making! Lets see, there is Chi Chi Memories, tomorrow I will show you some Soft Pencil and Stamp-n-doodle, Saturday I will be showing you more Sugar Creek Hollow, and I am also working on some extra stuff for Soft Pencil and their adorable Halloween Clip Art, and out of the kindness of my heart, I am working on a fall card for my old Stampin Up leader/friend for her to use for her upcoming workshop. Phew! Kidding, it's all fun.

Well, as you know, CCM has recently released a new Halloween stamp set, and I am going to show you a card made with another one of those images! It is the cutest owl with a witches hat on, "love it!". So, here it is:

Don't you want to reach out and touch this little owl? I think he is adorable! I colored him with my Stampin UP markers, then cut him out. I mounted him on some DCWV card stock, the purple layer is also DCWV (Die Cuts With a View). The patterned paper is unknown brand to me as it was a gift from a friend (Thanks Kerry). Of course the white card base is SU Whisper White. The sentiment is also a CCM image that comes with the Halloween set. The card layout is a sketch challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers; SC283. As always you can find the sketch challenges in their forums section of the website.

Now, hop on over to the CCM blog and store by clicking on one of the blinkies on my sidebar. I saw that they just released another new set of images called Tea Party and it is soooooo cute!

Until next time........Blessings, Lisa

ChiChi Memories Halloween Images!

Welcome back! Here is my big announcement that I mentioned this morning on my blog: I found this wonderful online Digi Image store (thanks to my good friend Kerry) called Chi Chi Memories. You may remember that I posted a couple of cards with their freebie image on previous posts in response to their weekly sketch challenges! Yay, you know how I love a sketch challenge! Well, they were looking for a couple of guest designers for September and October and yes, you guest it, I am one of the honored ones!!!!! They have such cute images, and they just recently released some Halloween images that I am so happy to be working with.
Here is the first one that I have the pleasure of creating with:

Batty cuteness, don't you think? The Sentiment also comes with the halloween image set. The nice thing also is that CCM images can be purchased as a set, or as singles! Awesome!!!

So, what products did I use to put this little Halloween cutie together? OK........

All card stock is Stampin Up: Yoyo Yellow, Night of Navy, Whisper White. the punched bat border at the bottom is EK Success, the bats on the tag were made with a Martha Stewart Punch, The tag was actually made with a tag template that I have had around for years, the fiber on the tag is EK Success, and I colored the images with my cool grey Berol Prismacolor Pencils. Oh and the moon under the bat was cut with one of my Spellbinder's Nestibilities Circle di-cuts.

Now, look over on my sidebar to find the links to the other DT members blogs, and the CCM blog and store! You have got to go see all of their images, they are adorable.

Oh, and don't forget that today I also made a post with Sugar Creek Hollow images, please scroll down for that one and visit those DT members also, they make some amazing creations!

Until next time........ Blessings, Lisa

Sugar Creek Hollow New Fall Images!

Hello, and happy Saturday to everyone! It is an especially happy Saturday for me because it is my husband and I 17th wedding anniversary! We were married on September 11, 1993. I don't want to down play the terrible tragedy that happened on September 11, 2001, but I doubt that the good Lord would want me to be too terribly sad on my anniversary. I am married to one of the best men I have ever known, and it is cause to celebrate. But still, please everyone take a few moments of silence or prayer for the victims and their loved ones that were effected by the horrific events that took place on that day in 2001. Lets not forget to include the gracious people who assisted in the rescue attempts that day as well. God Bless them all!

Ok, Sugar Creek Hollow has recently added some new Fall and Halloween images to their store, and thanks to last weeks blog hop, they are being snatched up like crazy! Yay! I am so honored to be among the very and I mean very talented design team members, these ladies are amazing paper crafters! With that said, lets move onto the card that I created for today!

Is that pumpkin image exquisite, or what? I so love the pattern in the hat, and the swirls around the pumpkin! Gorgeous! We were asked to follow a sketch challenge this week, which I absolutely love to do! Love sketches, simple and complex, doesn't matter to me!

Here is what I did to create my card. I first printed the image out on some vanilla card stock, colored the image by using very small ink daubers and several different colors of ink starting with the lightest color. I used Stampin Up Ink colors Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, and Dusty Durango. The card base is from DCWV, and so is the orange/rust layer. the Designer paper is from a paper stack by Provo Craft, the leaf embellishments are Prima Marketing. The ribbon layers are all from my stash, and I have had them for so long, I am sorry to say that I can't remember what brands they are. I also added some ink distressing with a sponge and Creamy Caramel SU Ink. I used a darker color to distress with last week and I didn't like it, I think this is much better. The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Now, Tracy the owner of Sugar Creek Hollow is working on some Christmas images, so keep coming back to visit we DT member's blogs each week and the SCH blog everyday, to see when the new images will be ready and in the store!

I will be back later today with an announcement!

Until next time..... Blessings, Lisa

Soft Pencil Thursday!

Hello again, I have a got another cutie image to show you today this time from Soft Pencil Designs. It is called "A Gift For My Teacher", and it is so cute and versatile. I had originally planned to make a gift set for one of my daughter's school teachers of a notepad, desk calendar, and maybe a bookmark, but I am having trouble finding a digi calendar for the 2011 year, and there isn't many months left in 2010, so I will have to post that another time. Instead, I made a card that will eventually go with the gift set as a thank you card. Here is that card:

Isn't that image cute? Love it!!!! I cut out the image with one of my Spellbinder's circle Nestibilities, and matted it with some SU Real Red card stock cut out with one of my SB Scalloped Nestibilities circles. The card base is Whisper White, and the green DSP is retired Stampin Up Certainly Celery DSP, I don't know the name of the other patterned paper, because it was a gift from fellow SP DT member, Kerry. Love it though, Kerry , what brand is it? Lastly, I colored the image with my Stampin UP markers. I also wanted to mention that the card sketch that I used here is this weeks card sketch challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. It is SC297. I love their card sketches!

So, go visit the other Soft Pencil DT members and see what they have created for your viewing pleasure, then hop on over to the Soft Pencil Blog and store to see all of the new goodies that they have ready for you to buy and use! Be sure to come back next Thursday and visit me and the other members, as we are going to create something using one of the new Halloween images. Soooooo Cute!!!!

Until next time............Blessings, Lisa

Stamp n Doodle Thursday!

Hello Peeps! How's things in your little place in the paper crafting world? All good I hope. Well, I have the most adorable image to show you today from Stamp n doodle. If you love animals, you will love this one. We were asked to use the following sketch, which is awesome too. It was so quick and easy to put together. I did rotate it 90 degrees, which you can see in my sample if you scroll down.

Is the image a cutie, or what? Love it! I adore both cats and dogs, so I loved this one. One of them yawning, the other two sleeping, way too cute.
I used some Stampin Up Whisper white as my base, then decided to add some Die Cuts with a View (DCWV) textured card stock to cover the entire front of the card. The patterned paper strips are some retired DSP from SU, The square rhinestones are from Michael's craft store, and the sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp. Take a peek at the other DT members (on my sidebar) to see what they have come up with to show you, and then stop at the SND blog tomorrow to see if they offer this one for free.

Come back and visit me later today to see what I have created for Soft Pencil Designs.

Until later.........................Blessings, Lisa

It's Back to School with Soft Pencil!

Yes, it's true, Michu and Ratiny get to go to school! How exciting for them! LOL Is this an adorable image, or what? I love it! I see it on a scrapbook page also in the future! In the meantime, I thought it would make a very cute welcome back to another year for some sweet child's school teacher. I personal sentiment or note could be placed inside. At least, that is my take on it!

Yes, I just couldn't help it, I had to use purple and yellow. It has been awhile, and I am so addicted to that color combination, so I had to give in. I hope you don't mind, as you are probably laughing at me as I speak, which is completely fine with me. LOL

Anyways, I decided to use a combination of Stampin Up markers and Prismacolor pencils to color the image, I think it worked. What do you think? Then I decided to cut out the image leaving a small white border around it and then put it onto an oval cutout with my Spellbinder's Nestibility Ovals Di-cut. I saw some purple ric rac from fellow DT member Kerry laying on my table (thanks again Kerry), hmmm looks good to me. Then some Prima flower embellishments with sticky gem centers, and Voila, all done! Such a randomly designed card. I was so having a creative block, so I just sort of threw this together. Come back every Thursday for at least the next, hmmm....long time, because we DT ladies will be showing samples with even more new products from Soft Pencil. There are so many new images and products, I can't name them all. You will just have to go visit the blog and store! LOL

Oh, I almost forgot, Elizabeth is having a big sale over at the Soft Pencil stores, buy one collection, get one free! Don't miss it! Click fast over to the store!!!!!

If you are looking for Stamp-n-doodle, scroll down to the previous post.

Also, visit me Saturday to see my very first post as a Sugar Creek Hollow Design Team Member. They are having a Blog Hop to celebrate the new Fall and Halloween images, and are they ever awesome!

Until Next time.........Blessings, Lisa

Some Soccer Fun with Stamp-n-doodle

Hello all, Happy Thursday, the weekend is almost here!!!!! This week at Stamp-n-doodle we got to work with the image called Soccer fun, since my daughter plays soccer I decided to use her team colors and save the card as a soccer coach "Thank You" card for the end of the season.

I used my Prismacolor pencils to color the image, the red and plain navy card stock is from the freebie coupon from Archiver's, the white card stock and polka dot patterned paper is Stampin Up, and I have no idea where the star mesh came from because it was a gift from a good friend, Kerry. Isn't the star mesh, awesome, if you look close you will see that it have an iridescent look to it. I used my hermafix reposition able adhesive to adhere it to the card.

Now, pop on over to the stamp-n-doodle store and see the new Halloween digis that are there, and tomorrow on their blog to see the other DT members ideas and maybe they just might offer this digi free!

Until next time......Blessings, Lisa

It's a CCM Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone! I have recently been introduced to a digital image company called Chi Chi Memories, which are one of the cutest collections of images around. I followed and posted a sketch challenge on here awhile back with their freebie image, and I found yet another sketch challenge this week that I had to try with the same freebie image. The image makes me think of a baby, so I made a baby card with it. Here is the sketch, and below is the card that I made with it.

Sorry my peeps for using the same image over again, I am unemployed, so I am unable to purchase any new ones! This is why I am participating in the sketch challenge, because they give away freebie images to one lucky winner of each challenge that they post over on their blog. Which you can find here. I plan to add a blinkie over on my sidebar, so that you can always find them if you want to. Anyways, hop on over there and take a look at their store, and grab the freebie and play along with their sketch challenges, you might just win some free.

Please come back and visit me tomorrow for Soft Pencil Thursday and Stamp-n-doodle Thursday! Friday, I will be posting something.....hmmm, you will just have to come back on Friday to find out!

Until next time..... Blessings, Lisa
