Soft Pencil Thursday!

Hello everyone! Back with a little Soft Pencil cuteness! We were asked to work with the image called "Michu and the Big Flowers". Next week, we get to start working with the new images for Back to School and Halloween and they are soooooo adorable, so keep coming back to see what we DT members create for you. Well, me and my friend, Kerry, fellow DT member for Soft Pencil have been sending Paper crafting goodies back and forth to each other just for the fun of it. I happened to mention to Kerry that I have never used the product called "Flower Soft", and the next thing I knew, I receive a bunch of it in the mail from her! Gotta love her! So, I decided to use some of it this week on my SP creation, which you can see below:
Notice the bright pink areas of the flowers, that is Flower Soft, and just to be funny, I added some to Michu's belly and feet! See that is the real reason he is jumping for joy in this image, not because of the flowers. LOL. Just kidding! I have to say, it is fun stuff to work with. Gotta have more colors now, hmm, when is payday again, I have shopping to do. LOL. Anyways, I put the image on a tag that I cut from a sizzix di-cut, and I added some ribbon that also came from Kerry. The designer paper is from "Me & My Big Ideas", and I colored the image with my Stampin UP markers. I made this card so that the tag could be taken off easily and added to a scrapbook page if the recipient wants to. So, pop on over to the other DT members blogs (list on my sidebar) and see what they have come up with, and also go visit the Soft Pencil blog and store (sidebar link again) to see the new adorable images that have been added to the store.
Until next time..... Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-N-Doodle Thursday

Welcome to Stamp-n-doodle Thursday! Today we DT have been asked to work with a very pretty rustic image. It reminds me of the "Little House on the Prairie" TV show that I watched as a little girl. It has a cabin and wagon with mountains in the background, so very picturesque and relaxing. We were challenged to use green, and glitter, and I remembered that I actually had some green glitter, so I was set to create. Here is what I came up with:

There was no sketch challenge given to us, so I decided to grab some SU DSP and create my own sketch, as usual , I love the clean and simple look. I have got to confess, it was completely 100% my 11 year old daughter's idea to use the glitter to frame in the image! I thought it was a great idea, so I went with it! Thanks Amanda, my creative helper! So, pop on over to the other DT members blogs to see what they have come up with, and tomorrow visit the SND blog and see if they offer this image free, they are known to do nice things like that. Gotta love them! As always, there are links to the other DT members and the company blog on my sidebar. I also wanted to mention that Stamp-n-doodle offers more than just Digi images in their store. If digi images are not your thing, they have rubber stamps as well. Go check them out!

Come back shortly for Soft Pencil Designs...................

Blessings, Lisa

Cute By The Inch ......

is the name of the stamp set that I used on these cards. There are nine stamps in this level two hostess set, and my dear friend was nice enough to loan this set to me so that I could create a few things with it. Each stamp image is only one inch square, so get out your square punches when you work with this one. It is too fun to use and very versatile.

As you can see in the first card I used the friends flower stamp, coloring the stamp with SU Markers then stamping. The embossed flower was made with the SU flower burst embosslit. I am so hooked on those embosslits, cutting and embossing at the same time! Me likey! The colors that i used here were Pacific Point, Bashful Blue and Garden Green. The bottom sentiment is from the SU stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Now, I must confess, that I cased most of this card layout from one that I saw on Splitcoast Stampers, except that I used a different ribbon. The colors here are Night of Navy and Old Olive. Keep coming back to visit me as I have more cards made with some other stamps in this set to show you.

I also have some photos and info from the Stampaway stamp convention that was here in the Cincinnati, Ohio Suburbs last Saturday. Tim Holtz was there!!!!! So much stuff to show and tell, not enough days in the week!

Until next time.....Blessings, Lisa

Fluffles the Cat!

Hello. If you have been folowing my blog for very long, you know that I am completely nuts about animals of any kind! Stampendous has some adorable animal stamps and my favorite ae the "Fluffles the Cat" line! Yes, I am probably the only person on the planet who doesn't like their monkey line, I think his name is Changito, I may very well be wrong. All I know is that I think that "Fluffles" 'rocks'! I have had this card made for awhile, though I would finally share it with you. I used my only two copic markers to color the flowers, my Stampin Up markers to color the rest. Someday I hope to join the rest of the crafting world and buy more copic markers as they are completely awesome, but for now, boohoo.
I used my favorite Stampin Up shades of Lavender Lace on the card as you can see, please Stampin Up bring back my purples! I can't believe they retired so many of them! I cut out the image with a Spellbinder's circle Nestibility, added a Prima Flower for embellishment and the button on the flower is from DCWV. Now, I have got to go rush off and prepare and schedule a post for you to view for tomorrow (Saturday). I have cards made with one of the nw SU hostess stamp set!

Until next time..........Blessings, Lisa

Stamp n Doodle Thursday!

Hey, How about a little hopscotch today? That is the name of the image that I am showing off today for Stamp n Doodle! It is too cute! So, rather than keeping you waiting, here she is:

Our challenge was to use our favorite school colors, so I chose my High School, up in the very small town of Convoy, Ohio called Crestview HS. Our colors were Red, White and Blue. Actually the blue was more of a royal blue, we were a patriotic school I guess. People used to laugh when I told them my school colors. I chose to use the navy blue variation instead, please forgive me my awesome DT coordinator Audrey!!!!! The white card stock is SU's Whisper White, the the Navy and Red are an unknown misc. from my paper stash. The patterned paper is from "Me and my Big Ideas"; which between you and I that is an odd company name. LOL . Anyways, the Flower was sent to me by my awesome friend Kerry whom I work with at Soft Pencil Designs. Kerry sent me that one and more in a package of flowers by Imaginise, love their products! Thanks Kerry, You are awesome!!!! The flower center is simply a sticky gem thingy from Making Memories. Lastly, the sketch is from Splitcoast Stampers and it is sketch challenge SC283.

Come back and visit me again today, as I have an announcement from Soft Pencil Designs to tell you and another announcement about something else exciting as well!

Until later today.........Blessings, Lisa

Soft Pencil Thursday!

Hello, welcome back, it is also Soft Pencil Thursday! I have a cutie image to show you today!

So, did I tell you the truth? It is a cutie, isn't it! I am kind of a flower lover though, I must confess! Anyways, it is hard to see in the photo, but the shape that I cut out and placed behind the image is from a Die Cuts With a View card stock stack that I won as part of blog candy on a friend's blog Becca Feeken. Becca gives away awesome blog candy. Someday, when I am back to work, I hope to be able to give away blog candy! Anyways, the card stock has little pink flowers that are embossed, love it! I haven't worked with ribbon in a really long time, so I thought I should challenge myself to do that, and oh boy am I ever out of practice! What a pitiful bow that I tied. I need to practice, practice, practice.

Now, pop on over to the soft pencil blog (link on my sidebar) and see her latest post because Elizabeth has introduced some new products from her digi world! They are very cute! I am sure that we DT girls will be showing off some of the new stuff in the near future.

I have a bunch of new cards that I have been working on, so come back to visit my blog everyday to see what I am posting.

Until next time..... Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-N-Doodle Thursday

Hello, happy Thursday! I am having Internet issues today, and have been trying all day to get my DT projects loaded, so I am crossing my fingers this time hoping it works. First I have a digi from Stamp-n-doodle to show off to you , it is an image of a mother wolf and her two cubs called "Mother's Pride", so gorgeous! We were asked to follow the following sketch:

This is the card that I came up with!

The colors didn't quite come out quite as well as in person, but sometimes photos are that way even after we try to edit them on some software. Urgh! All in all, not a good day for me with technology! Lets hope I find a solution soon! So, pop on over to the Stamp-n- doodle blog and check out what is going on over there, there is a free digi offered quite frequently.

Stay tuned for another post with a Soft Pencil image shortly.
