Cased a card by Kerry

Yep, You got it, I cased a card. Like all of you never do that!!! LOL. I have a very talented friend named Kerry, she is one of the sweetest peeps that I have ever met. She chats with me on facebook, she tries to call me on the phone (sorry I wasn't available that day like I thought I would be), she even sends me little crafty stuff in the mail sometimes. Love ya Kerry!!! Anyhoo, last summer, yep, that long ago, I decided to case one of the cards on her blog. I even used some of the paper that she sent to me one time. Yep, was going great, then............I moved. Well, that card got temporarily misplaced in a box under some crafty supplies. tee hee. I found it recently, and so here I am to post it to show you! I so loved the simplicity of it. Here is a link to her blog post, click here.

Here is my card:

I didn't have the exact same flower as Kerry used, so I used a sizzix daisies di-cut, and added some DCWV buttons. I am thinking that a Butterfly or two would look good with this layout too. hmmmm..........

Anyhoo, love this sketch, go visit Kerry's blog and check her card out, and to get to her most recent post from the link, click on her blog title at the top.

Until next time..........Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday!

Hello, welcome to Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday. All of this month we DT ladies were given a choice of two different images to work with, we could choose whichever one of the two we wanted to work with. Of course I keep choosing the wildlife animal images, I just can't help myself. This week's challenge over on the company blog is for the creation have an animal on it, which can be in the image. What a fun challenge!!! So, if you are an animal lover, you have got to join in on this challenge! So, here is what I came up with using the image called "The Peek":

Is it a great image or what? Wolves are such gorgeous creatures! With the awesome detail on this image, it really could stand alone with no coloring, but I was in the mood to add just a bit of color. I used Prismacolor cold gray markers on the wolf, and on the tree, I used Warm Gray markers. The background around the wolf, was colored with Stampin Up Bashful Blue Color Wonder Crayon and a blender pen. Of course I had to use the Stampin Up Top Note Di-cut, and the snowflakes are some little embellishments that I picked up on clearance at Michael's craft store. Hope you like it!

Now go visit the other DT ladies blogs, and then to the Stamp-n-doodle blog and join the challenge to win free digi images!

Come back and visit me again soon, I am working on some Valentine cards to show you!

Until next time.............Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday!

So sorry, but this is a very quick post today. I will try to get back on here another day and add some info for you. It is pouring down rain here in Ohio where I live and we live right next to a creek that looks like it may flood, so I may have to make a temporary move from my apartment. Needless to say, my nerves are on edge. Please enjoy the image Daydreaming:

Stamp-n-doodle

Ok, this was a very quick post, please accept my apologies. This week at Stamp-n-doodle was an "Anything goes" challenge, which means we could do whatever we wanted with whatever Stamp-n-doodle image that we wanted to use. So, I chose this absolutely adorable Giraffe image. I make it no secret that my favorite SND images are the animals and scenic images. I heard from a little birdie that the owner Lynne's favorite images to create are those with animals too. Great minds think alike. I colored this mostly with my Stampin Up Pastels, to give it a soft look. My card layout was an inspiration from the Clean and Simple Blog (link on my blog list). Hope you like it. Now go browse the other DT ladies blogs and then the Stamp-n-doodle Blog and join in on the challenge to win free digis.

Until next time.......Blessings, Lisa

Simple x-mas card!!!

Ok, I am browsing my favorite blogs list yesterday, and what do I see? This post on Jana Millen's blog, here.

I had just purchased the stamp set that she used at Archiver's last week with my fabulous 30% off coupon! Great minds think alike, right Jana? I love the fact that is has the Christian beliefs about Christmas in the set, and have been looking for something similar for awhile. So, the day that I purchased the set, I sat right down in their workroom and created the following very simple one layer card with it:

Jana has a photo of the whole set on her blog, go there and take a peek, then leave her a nice comment. As you can see I made it very, very simple. Heat embossed with gold Embossing powder, rounded the corners with my round corner punch, and added some gold shiny string. Took me all of about 5 minutes, gotta love it! If you need any last minute cards, highly recommend this layout!

Come back tomorrow, and I will see what other quick Christmas cards I have laying around my craft table to show you.

Until Next time.... Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday!

Christmas, is the name of the image we are showing you this week from Stamp-n-doodle. It is a cute image of 3 children peeking around a corner watching Santa eat cookies. Here is what I made with it:

I am all about simple card designs as you all know, especially this time of the year when life gets really hectic getting ready for Christmas. I added some tinsel glitter to Santa's outfit, it actually photographed pretty well for a change. lol. I love the sparkle! Hope you do too!

Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday!

Welcoem to another Stamp-n-doodle Tuesday! We DT ladies have a very cute image of 3 children bringing home their Christmas tree to show off to you today. The image is called "Tree". Here is what I created with it:

As soon as I saw this I knew that I wanted to cut it out with an oval and mount it onto a Stampin Up Top Note Di-cut. The top note was cut out of SU Certainly Celery, the card base is Garden Green. The greeting is from the retired SU stamp set called "Party Punch". I first stamped it in Garden Green ink, and punched it out, then stamped it again in Cherry Cobbler, then punched out the center with a 1" circle punch and layered it on top of the Garden green image with a foam pop dot. I added a couple of red sticky pearls, and that was it. Simple and Elegant was the look that I was after with this image. Hope you like it.

Now, Stamp-n-doodle is hosting their weekly challenge which is using the colors Red, Green, and one other color, I chose Blue. You can also use neutrals and skin colors if you need to. So, visit the other DT members blogs (links on my sidebar), and then the SND blog to join in the weekly challenge to win free digis. Good luck to all of you.

Until Next time..........Blessings, Lisa
