Soft Pencil Tuesday!

Welcome to Soft Pencil Tuesday! I have been without power today, thank heavens things are back to normal. What did people do before electricity was invented? So glad I didn't experience that! Anyhoo, we got to work with another adorable image created by Elizabeth of Soft Pencil Studios! The image is called "Growing flowers in Pots". Isn't it cute? Love it!!!
I colored the image with a combination of Stampin Up markers and a couple of Prismacolor pencils. I cut it out, then mounted it on a Spellbinder's Labels Six Di-cut that I ran through my cuttlebug. The sentiment is on a smaller Labels Six di-cut and stamped with a stamp from the Stampin Up set "Teeny Tiny Wishes". The ribbon is from the Violet Shashes collection of ki Memories. I am sorry but I don't remember where the flowers came from, but their rhinestone centers are from Michael's Craft Store. The paper is either by Stampin Up or Provo Craft.

Now, hop on over to visit the other DT member's blogs and leave them a friendly comment, then over to the Soft Pencil Studios blog and store and see what other fabulous products that Elizabeth sells with her adorable characters on them.

Until Next time..................Blessings, Lisa

Denami Stamps, and New Martha Stewart Punch

Well, I received one of the new Martha Stewart punches for Christmas this past year, and have been playing around with it, but haven't shown you anything that I have made with it yet. The punch is one of her new ones called "punch around the page". Meaning you can use it anywhere you want on a card of any size, scrapbook page of any size, etc.... I decided to try it out as window on a card. I am still playing with some other ideas as well, but here is the window card that I made with it.

Now, the scalloped circle with the sentiment in the center is the leftover piece from punching the window. The sentiment is from an old Hero Arts sentiment stamp set. I simply used a 1/8" circle punch to punch a hole on each side of the scallop circle, found some skinny ribbon to weave through it, and made a ribbon slide from the leftover piece of card stock. The cute little puppy dog stamp that I used is from DeNami Stamps from their Animal collection set (4 stamps). DeNami has a cute variety of stamps and a blog full of inspiration of ideas of how to use them. Go check them out sometime, I am sure you will get hooked just like I am.

Now, go have fun and stamp the day away!!!

Until next time........................Blessings, Lisa

Soft Pencil Tuesday!

Hello! Welcome to another Soft Pencil Tuesday!! We are showing you our creations with the new image called "Charming Flowers"! I love this image, it is so versatile. You can use it for Mother's day, Female Birthday, Thinking of you, etc...

Now, forgive me please as I am hopelessly hooked lately on the green and pink color combo! See, fellow DT member, Kerry, sent me a green and pink paper sample awhile back, and once I used it on a card with a Soft Pencil image, I got hooked. Yep, Kerry, it's all your fault! LOL. The DP you are seeing on this card, however, I purchased myself. It is by Heidi Grace, and so adorable! You can't see on the photo, but the flowers are embossed/glittered. Notice on the fairy wings I added some stickles glitter (miaght be hard to see that too).

Now, hop on over to visit all the other SP DT ladies and see what wonderful creations they have to show you! Then, hop on over to the Soft Pencil Blog and store and see all the wonderful goodies that Elizabeth has created for you to enjoy!

Until next time.............Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-n-doodle Monday!

Can you believe it is Monday again already? Can you also believe that this is holy week on the Christian calendar? Easter is this coming weekend! Time sure flies by fast sometimes! With that being said, I have an image form Stamp-n-doddle with an Easter theme called "Easter Bunny". So, here is my Easter card made with it:

Now, would you also believe that I don't have even one piece of Easter themed paper? I was shocked about that myself! So, please pardon the substitute of polka dots and flowers! I don't even know the manuf. of the paper, sorry. The polka dot paper was from my stash from a long-time ago, and the flower DP was a gift from my fellow Soft Pencil DT member, Kerry. Thanks again Kerry! Anyhoo, the image was mounted on retired Stampin Up paper Almost Amethyst, and current Whisper White. I colored the image with Stampin Up markers and the bunny tail with white Smooch shimmer paint.

Now, off to craft some more.

Until next time.................Blessings, Lisa

Soft Pencil Tuesday!!!

Welcome to Soft Pencil Day, and a little inspiration with one of the new releases from last week!!!!! We are showing you samples today with the new image called "Watering My Garden"! Elizabeth's images just keep getting more and more cute! Of course, I couldn't resist using purple and yellow, my favorite color combo! I used Prismacolor marker, Light Peach, to color the skin tone, and the rest was colored with some Prismacolor pencils. Then, I know it is hard to see, but I used some purple Stickles to fill in the hair bows and the flower she is watering. I cut and matted the image with my rectangle and scalloped rectangle nestibilities. The DP background paper was cut with my SU/Sizzix Bigx Clear Large Scallop Square di-cut. I ran the di-cut through once, shifted the paper by two scallops, ran it through the Cuttlebug again, thus giving me a rectangle instead of a square. If anyone is confused by that instruction feel free to tell me in comments or via email and I will post a short photo tutorial on it tomorrow. Moving on, I added a little scrap of purple under the one corner, so that the yellows didn't blend together too much, some Prima Flowers with sticky gem centers, a few more sticky gems at the bottom, and it was finished. Sounds complicated, but it was really a pretty fast card to make. Come back for next week's Soft Pencil DT showcase of another new image called "Charming Flowers". Now run your cursor over the DT names in my blog sidebar, click and visit the other DT members to see what cute inspiration they have created for you!!! I am off......Until next time........Blessings, Lisa

Stamp-n-doodle Monday!

Welcome to another Stamp-n-doodle Monday! This week we are featuring an image called "Ballet Lesson". We were also asked to make the creation "Girly". So here is what I came up with:

Pink, Pink Pink.......very "girly", I know this to be true because my 11 year old daughter told me it was "too girly". So, I said "Great! then I have made it correctly". What is it with pre-teens and teenagers that think they know it all? She must get this from her father's side of the family. LOL.

Anyways, I used almost every pink marker that I own with just a little purple. The sketch is my own, just came up with it on the spur of the moment. I was trying a new thing, of not thinking about it and it worked I got finished faster. LOL... Here are the products that I used:

Card stock~ SU Pink Pirouette, retired SU DP, Melon Mambo, GP white card stock

Ink~ SU Melon Mambo, SU markers, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, and Concord Crush Berol Prismacolor marker PM-12 Light Peach

Accessories~ Sentiment from SU stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes, Spellbinder's Nestibilities Labels Six, Creative Memories Ovals Custom Cutting System, sticky pearls from Michael's Craft Store, and SU Oval Punches.

So, now that you have seen my "Girly" creation, hop on over to the other DT member blogs and see what they have to show you and then to the company blog to see what is new over there!

We are still looking for a few more DT members, so if you have a blog and are interested in trying out, please contact our DT coordinator, Audrey at danmoose@aol.com

Stamp-n-doodle Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Stamp-n-doodle day, we are having a blog hop! If you are visiting me from Audrey's blog, then you are visiting in the right order, if not, go back to the Stamp-n-doodle blog and start from there. We are working this week with an image called "50's Dreamin", and the challenge was Vintage/shabby chic. This is a style that I am not experienced with very much, so a true challenge it was for me. I hope I at least came close to succeeding. Here is what I created:

As usual, the colors did not come out looking true to what they really are in person. The lighting in my craft room, is obviously not very good. The adorable trim, is actually a light vintage blue, the flower is a cream with blue center. They are both products of My Mind's eye, that I got a while ago at the Archiver's store dollar spot. I created the swirly pearl accent myself with a strip of faux pearls that I had in my stash that you can find at Michael's craft store. I added the pearls to the trim, they did not come on it.

Your next stop on the blog hop is Priyanka's blog.

One last thing, Stamp-n-doodle is currently searching for some design team members! If you love to work with digi images, and have a blog to post your work on, please go visit the company blog and store and view their awesome images! Then, contact their DT coordinator, Audrey at the following email address: danmoose@aol.com

Come back tomorrow for some sneak peaks on the new images for Soft Pencil Studios!
