Soft Pencil Thursday!

I love Soft Pencil Thursdays! I love working with Soft Pencil Digi Images! Elizabeth, the owner of Soft Pencil Designs has created some new digis for the Valentine Holiday coming up in February, and we her fabulous design team have the honor of making some cards with them. Please go visit the other design team blogs linked over on my sidebar, these ladies are very talented. Then, go over to the Soft Pencil Store (also on my sidebar) and purchase some digi images. I have two cards to share with you today since I was too sick to post last Thursday. Yes, I am still under the weather, but at least I can breath good enough now to move about my house and work on my hobbies. I highly recommend avoiding Bronchitis if you can, not fun at all.

Anyways, the first card is made with the image called "A Lovely Couple". Is it a cute image or what? We were asked to use our favorite card sketch, so I used SC149. This sketch can be found in the forums section of the Splitcoast Stampers website. After coloring the image, I cut it out with some of my Spellbinder's Nestibilities Circles, added some glitter (SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter) for the snow and popped it up with some foam dimensionals. The patterned paper is from Stampin Up. Then I added the two smaller circles with a small hearts on each punched out with the new Stampin Up Small Heart Punch. The sentiment on the bottom was also created by Elizabeth of Soft Pencil and she is offering it free over on Paper Craft Planet web site. I have a link to that website on my sidebar.

This next image was what I was supposed to work with and post last week. Thank you Elizabeth for being so understanding while I was ill. Anyways, this image is called "2 Birds 2Cats", and aren't these two little couples cute? I watercolored them, then mounted them on a piece of patterned paper from the company called Me & my Big Ideas (dollar spot at Archiver's). I punched the patterned paper with a Fisker's border punch called "lazy days of summer"and put tiny little pearls in the flower centers. I typed the image on Microsoft Word and printed it out, punched it with my SU Word Window Punched layered on Olive card stock punched with the SU Modern Label Punch. The heart pearls are Hero Arts, and the Round ones are from Micheal's Craft Store.

Any questions leave a comment that I can reply to, and until next time .......Blessings, Lisa

Hi Lisa! So glad you are feeling better! Your cards are adorable and well worth the wait! Love the colors and details! I laughed when I saw your comment about how to run tissue paper through a printer. I wondered too, and I literally layed awake at night thinking about it! LOL Well I guess that's better than worrying about something else! Last night was the first time that I tried it out, and I was so excited that it actually worked! Take it easy and I hope you're 100% well soon! Hugs
