Stamp n Doodle Thursday!

Hello, welcome to Stamp-n-doodle Thursday! We DT members are working with an image called "Mama's Boy", which is an adorable image of a mother Penguin and her baby! We were also asked to work with the card sketch below:

Here is what I created with the image and sketch:

The card base is Stampin Up's Pretty in Pink, the red triangle is Paper from Provo Craft. the Ribbon is from Stampin Up, the ribbon slide (which says "happiness" on it), is from JoAnn's and the two hearts in the upper left corner were made with a Martha Stewart Punch. The center of the ribbon slide is some red glitter glue that I got from the dollar bin at Michael's. Let me tell you, from now on, I will stick with Stickles glitter glue. This cheep imitation exploded onto my table when I tried to use it. Thank heavens I had scrap paper down on my workspace, but oh what a mess to clean up, my hands were sparkling for awhile.

Until next time..............Blessings, Lisa

Stamp n Doodle Thursday!

Hello, welcome to Stamp-n-doodle Thursday! It is snowing once again here in Ohio, and well, I am so ready for Spring! Ok, now that I got that off my chest, lets enjoy some paper crafting! We DT ladies got to work with a cute little dress patterned shaped card. I have a family baby shower coming up, so I had a blast working with this cute little pattern. Here is what I came up withThe card base is actually white, covered with some designer paper which is retired Stampin Up in Pink Pirouette, the ribbon is Stampin Up Regal Rose, and of course some sticky faux pearls around the neckline from Michael's craft store. Such an easy and fun way to make a cute card. The pattern is so versatile too, it can be used for a Christening, Baby Girl arrival, Baby girl shower, baby's first birthday, etc.......... Hop on over to the other DT ladies blogs and then on to the Stamp-n-doodle blog to see what other cute ideas were created for you to see! All links to these sites can be found over on my sidebar! Happy crafting!
As always, until next time.......blessings, Lisa

Hello, Happy Friday to everyone! As promised I have a card to show you with some gorgeous Gold outline stickers, and here it is:

I used Stampin Up's Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, and Whisper White card stock. The scalloped border is an EK Success border punch called Scalloped Scallops, and the ribbon is from Michael's craft store. After carefully placing the stickers on some card stock, I colored in some of the open areas with some SU markers (Baja Breeze, Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, and Daffodil Delight, and Night of Navy). The reason I said carefully placed, is because these stickers are very delicate. In case you have never seen them before, I posted a photo below of a sheet of them so you can see how they look before they are used.

The photo below is a close up of how the sheet looks after you use some of them, the cool pattern on the right is left behind. Now there is a way to use that awesome leftover pattern that you are seeing on the right side using some tape, but I have not attempted that one yet. When I do, and if I succeed (lol), I will certainly share it on my blog. I saw a demonstration at a convention, but watching and doing are often two different things.

Now, if you would like to try these beautiful little stickers on your paper crafts, I recommend, going to on online store called Frantic Stamper, Inc. They have a huge selection of them and many other products, and are honest people. I have ordered from them several times. For a link to their store and outline stickers click here. When you do, scroll down until you see "peel off stickers" on the left hand side.

Until next time........Blessings, Lisa

Stamp n Doodle Thursday!

Welcome to Stamp-n-doodle Thursday! We DT ladies got to work with an image from their wildlife collection called "Call of the Wild". First I have to say, that the wildlife collection is my favorite from Stamp-n-doodle. I love all things "animal" and please Lynne make more of them! I am writing down some ideas to send your way!

Anyhoo, you know me, I love a simple sketch, it keeps the card looking so clean and doesn't detract from the image. I colored the moon with a prismacolor marker, and then used a Copic blender pen to take away a little bit of the color. Yes, the Copic blender pen does work a little bit, and I stress a little bit with the prismacolor markers. Obviously it works perfectly with it's own kind. Since I am on a tight budget being unemployed, I only own 2 Copic markers at the moment. Sniff Sniff. LOL Someday I will have more. I colored the rest of the image with my Stampin Up chalk pastels (Handsome Hunter, Going Gray, Chocolate Chip, and Elegant Eggplant). The card base is SU Crumb Cake, Elegant Eggplant, and then a metallic Silver by DCWV. The ribbon is from Michael's craft store, and so are the dark purple gem accents.

Now, hop on over to the other DT blogs and the SND blog and see what inspiration they have for you to see!

Come back tomorrow and visit me, I am off to schedule a post of a card where I have used some gorgeous gold outline stickers!

Until then...................Blessings, Lisa

Stamp n Doodle Thursday!

Hello, and welcome to Stamp-n-doodle Thursday! I have a very humorous image to show you today from SND, it is called "New Year's Resolution". It is a two part image, one on the front of the card and one on the inside of the card! Here is what I created with it:
Ok, yes, I forgot to add the sentiments! LOL. I believe on the front she is saying a very big "oops", and on the one below, I sense an "Oh well, happy New Year anyways".

I don't know what you think, but I think that cute little doggie needs to get off of the scale for heavens sakes! Is that too funny, or what? Love it!

I colored the image with a marker combo today, the lavender is a copic marker, the yellow is Stampin Up, and the doggie, and skin tone is Prismacolor! Kind of a color smorgasbord. All card stock is Stampin Up, Whisper White, Almost Amethyst, Barely Banana, and retired dsp. The flowers are from Imaginese, and their centers are sticky gems from my usual Michael's stash.

Now hop on over to the other DT blogs and see what cute creations they have come up with for this adorable image!

Until next time...........Blessings, Lisa
