I'm back

to blogging. I got so tired of the pressures of my DT assignments, that I was having creative blocks, and absolutely dreaded writing blog posts. Plus, the big picture is that I have returned to school to get a different Bachelors degree. I say different because I already have a BS in Architecture, but there are just too many people in that field and not even close to enough jobs, even when the rest of the economy is doing well here in the US, the Architectural field is struggling. So, I am now pursuing a BS in Computer IT/Information Management, which means that I can be an IT Manager or a Database Administrator when I finish. This is keeping me very busy to say the least, and harder than I expected it to be, but it is a growing field, so I am keeping my eyes on the prize and am doing the best that I can. Now, Elizabeth, owner of Soft Pencil Studios, closed her digi image shop and eliminated the Design Team, however, her absolutely adorable images are being made into Clear stamp sets, and they are awesome!!!! I have been using them with Memento Ink pads, and they are stamping great images! I have been playing around with the stamp set "Garden of Friends" set and I have some quick and easy cards to show you that I made with them. Plus, I have a few more on my table in the works for another day. Here is what I have created so far:

Don't you love the stamp images? I want every set she has, and just wait until my tax refund comes, I am shopping!!! I have been bugging Elizabeth to bring some of her other cute images into sets, so hopefully in the future we will see more of her adorable artwork in the store!!!!! Soft Pencil Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Soft Pencil Tuesday!!! I am showing you the digital image called "Cute Little Bat". It is one of the completely adorable Halloween digi images that Soft Pencil has in it's store. The nice thing about Digi images is that you can copy and paste them from your computer into a MS Word Document and change the size to whatever you want. So, for today, I made them really small and printed out a sheet full of them to make my card. I saw this cute layout on Pinterest, so I cased it with my soft Pencil Bats. The sentiment is stamped with a clear stamp on Patterned paper, so I used Staz-on Ink to make sure it would not smear. Traditional ink might smear. So here is what I made, hope you like it and get inspired to make your own creations with Soft Pencil Images.

Soft Pencil Tuesday!!!

Welcome to Soft Pencil Tuesday! Sorry I am late today, but I had some technical difficulties with my digital camera. I am happy to say the problem is solved!!! So, in the coming weeks, Soft Pencil is introducing some Fall/Halloween digi images, and coming very soon.......Halloween stickers!!! They are very cute too. Here is a picture of them:

Welcome to Soft Pencil Tuesday!!! This week I am showing you a card made with the image of a cute Mermaid. I love her, she is so adorable!!! I even stepped out of my comfort zone and used some colors that I don't usually work with. Her top was colored with Copic Color Coral (R35), and her fins I used Copic color Lime Green (G21. If you ask me, it looks more like a moss green. Here she is:

Hello, Welcome back to Soft Pencil Day!!! Elizabeth has been working on some new digi images with her Sunny the Bunny character, and they are soooo cute!!! I am showing you Sunny with a Butterfly, and I created this with him:

I was going to place a sentiment in the upper left corner, but ran out of time. The partial circle is what is left after cutting out a circle for a previous card, gotta use those leftovers and negative spaces. I hate to waste my materials. Soft Pencil Tuesday!

Hello and welcome to a late Soft Pencil Studios Tuesday!!! I am having some back trouble this week, so I am behind on a few things. Please accept my apologies. I decided to work this week with a digi image called "Charming Flowers". For some strange reason I got on a monochromatic crafting roll on Sunday and I just can't stop. So hope you like my creations in shades of blue.
